Via the Settings app (automatically)

  3. Right-click the Command Prompt search result and proceed by selecting Run as administrator.
  4. Once you are in Command Prompt, type in tzutil /g and press the Enter button. This will confirm your current time zone.
  5. Now tap in tzutil /l. Make sure to press Enter.
  6. Make a note of the time zone you wish to switch to.
  7. Now input the following command: tzutil /s “Your desired time zone”. Hit Enter to proceed.
  8. Finally, input tzutil /g and press the Enter key for the change to take effect.

Using PowerShell

  1. Search for PowerShell via the Search app (Windows logo + S).
  2. Navigate through the list of results and locate PowerShell.
  3. Right-click on the PowerShell result and select Run as administrator from the drop-down menu.
  4. Input Get-TimeZone into the PowerShell window. Then press Enter on your keyboard.
  5. Your next step is to enter the following command: Get-TimeZone –ListAvailable. To execute it, click Enter.
  6. Navigate through the list of time zones available until you stumble upon the one you want to use. Take a note of it.
  7. Now key the following: Set-TimeZone -Name “The time zone you want to set”. Remember to hit Enter.
