BoostSpeed Uninstall Manager

You may have a brand new or well-maintained computer. What you don’t know is that there is at least one software program, app, or game that you do not need. You may not even be aware that they exist on your PC. It is important to identify and remove these apps. After all, they are essentially junk cluttering your hard disk. Eventually, they will slow down your computer and cause glitches and issues.

Now, it can be challenging to locate and delete unused applications like these. Thankfully, Auslogics BoostSpeed has an applications manager specifically dedicated for this purpose.

How to delete old program files in Windows 10?

Uninstall Manager can efficiently find and remove unneeded program files, adware, bloatware, and other types of junk apps. You can rest easy knowing that this tool will remove even the smallest trace of these programs.

Dealing with Bloatware

You may wonder what bloatware is. Well, it includes apps and programs in your PC that you never wanted in the first place. Those are pre-installed trials, toolbars, and other items you don’t really need. Here are some examples:

Pre-Installed Trials

When you bought your computer, it came with some program trials that were pre-installed by the manufacturer. Once the free trial expires, you will be required to pay for it. Some of the most common pre-installed trials include antivirus programs, office tools, and video playback apps, among many others. And, in general, what files can one delete from windows 10?

Junkware

Like pre-installed trials, junkware includes added apps that serve little to no purpose for you. Some of the common offenders are updaters, solution centers, and other utilities that you won’t likely use. Some PCs come with downloaders that run updates automatically. So, even if you do not need the service, they will run in the background, hogging your precious computer resources.

Toolbars and Adware

Well, that is how much unnecessary toolbars and adware are. They settle in your taskbar or browser, providing you with no value other than displaying annoying ads. Eventually, you are left wondering why it takes longer for web pages to load. Well, the issue has something to do with your cluttered toolbar.

Risky Programs

While most pre-installed apps do not pose a security risk, there are still some that may leave your computer vulnerable to threats. So, it is essential that you remove dodgy programs that may hijack your web connection and show you malicious links.

Forgotten Programs

You may have programs that have been long buried in your hard disk. Of course, in general, theyмare not considered bloatware. However, they are like the clothes you bought and only used once. You probably wanted themмat some point, but you have forgotten them and never used them again. Unfortunately, they take up valuable space on yourмmain memory and hard disk. Sometimes, they even run in the background, slowing down your computer.

Faster PC Performance with Less Bloatware

Thoroughly cleaning your computer will allow you to reclaim masses of storage space. After all, you’re getting rid of gigabytes of items you do not need. They would no longer be bothering your RAM or processor. Consequently, you will find a smoother-running and faster PC.

Now, how do you delete unused applications? Well, you can do it manually by accessing Control Panel and going through the list of programs on Programs and Features. Assess every app and ask yourself, “Do I need this?” If you answered “no”, then you can uninstall it.

That said, things are not always that simple. How do you truly know the function of every program and its importance? After all, some of them are necessary for running other apps and games. Some may even be support programs that are related to your hardware. You wouldn’t want to end up with a malfunctioning speaker or keyboard just because you removed an indispensable app. Indeed, you’ll need a reliable unused applications uninstaller that will help make the process easy yet safe.

Auslogics BoostSpeed Uninstall Manager – The Easy and Safe Way to Remove Unneeded Apps

This software is packed with features that allow you to optimize the performance of your PC. You’ll love how Uninstall Manager makes it convenient for you to identify and remove unneeded programs without risking damages to your system. It is a convenient way to uninstall applications, Windows and software updates, and Windows features that are taking up drive space and possibly consuming other resources.

How to Use BoostSpeed Uninstall Manager

  1. Launch Auslogics BoostSpeed, then go to the All Tools tab.
  2. 2. Under the System Tools section, select Uninstall Manager. Once the utility loads, you will see a list of programs installed on your PC. By default, the Applications tab opens in the left-side menu.

Note: Uninstall Manager will show you how frequently you use a particular program. You will also see when you last used it and whether it is trustworthy. What’s more, the tool will show you how much space the app takes up on your drive.
  3. Go through the list of apps and check if there is anything you no longer need.
  4. If you want to remove a program, select it, then click the Uninstall link above the list. Perform these steps on the other programs that you no longer intend to use.

Note: Some software may require you to reboot your computer. So, make sure you restart your device when prompted to do so.
  5. To remove Windows update files you no longer need, go to the left-side menu and click Updates.
  6. Go through the list of installed updates. If you find any that no longer required, select it and then click Uninstall above the list. The Windows updates uninstaller will remove all the related files efficiently.
  7. If you want to remove unneeded Windows features, you can click Windows Features from the menu on the left. Auslogics BoostSpeed’s Windows features uninstaller will make it easier for you to determine vital and unnecessary items on your PC.

Note: Uninstall Manager will show you a list of Windows features installed on your device. You will also see whether the features are enabled or disabled. It is worth noting that some of these features are unnecessary for the general operation of your system. For instance, you may never use a virtual machine yet you have support for virtual machines on your PC. In a way, you can use this tool to maintain Windows features that you need.
  8. To get rid of an unneeded feature, select it from the list, then click Uninstall at the top. Keep in mind that you will still see it on the list, especially because it is a Windows system feature. However, it will be shown as Disabled. You are free to bring it back again by selecting it and clicking the Install link at the top.
  9. When you go to the left-side menu and click Unused Applications, you will see a list of programs that you haven’t used for a long time. This option makes it more convenient to sort through the apps. You can easily remove anything that you do not need, allowing you to free up space on your drives.
  10. Another feature you’ll find interesting is Force Uninstall. When you click it on the left-side menu, you will see a list of software programs that BoostSpeed has identified to be potentially challenging to remove. Usually, these are applications that possibly cause issues during the regular uninstall process. You can fully remove them by clicking the Force Remove link above the list. BoostSpeed will locate even the smallest component related to the program, including Windows registry keys. It deletes uninstalled software leftovers and other residual files without risking damages to your device.

Auslogics BoostSpeed has more features that help you maximize the speed and performance of your computer, like Windows Protector. If you want a safe and convenient way to keep your PC in excellent running condition, this tool is all you’ll need.
