The section will enable you to set the specific formats other users are restricted from altering.<\/p>\n<p>This protection can help keep your document exactly how you want it, even if you want other users to edit the content. That way, the document&#8217;s owner can view and accept or reject what was changed. You cannot track changes to the highlighted part once the user edits it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Start Enforcing Your Protections<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Go to the Start enforcement section after choosing the restrictions you want to apply and click the &#8220;Yes, Start Enforcing Protection&#8221; button. When you digitally sign your document, Word automatically makes it read-only and marks it as final.<\/p>\n<p>The signature will become invalid if anyone tampers with the document.<\/p>\n<p>Word requires a signing certificate to digitally sign your document.
