Just open Start and type \u201csystem restore,\u201d then click on \u201cCreate a Restore Point.\u201d<\/p>\n<ol start=\"6\">\n<li>Click on the System Restore button.<\/li>\n<li>Once the System Restore wizard opens, click on Next.<\/li>\n<li>Select a restore point and click on Next again.<\/li>\n<li>After that, click on the Finish button and allow Windows to restore your PC.<\/li>\n<li>Check for the problem after the process completes.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>Perform a clean boot<\/h3>\n<p>If none of the fixes above has worked, your next action should be checking for application interference. To do that, you have to perform a clean boot.<\/p>\n<p>Performing a clean boot involves disabling applications and services that are designed to load whenever your system starts. This way, you get to find out whether there is a certain application that is triggering the error. You can also use the clean boot technique to identify the responsible app or service.<\/p>\n<h4>Follow these steps to perform a clean boot:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Go to the Start menu, search for Run, and then launch the program. You can also tap the Windows and R keyboard buttons to open Run.<\/li>\n<li>After Run opens, type \u201cmsconfig\u201d and then hit the Enter key.<\/li>\n<li>Once the System Configuration dialog window opens, head to the Services tab.<\/li>\n<li>Check the box that reads, \u201cHide All Microsoft Services.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Next, click on the Disable All button.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol>\n<li>After that, head to the Startup tab and click Open Task Manager.<\/li>\n<li>Under the Startup tab of the Task Manager, select each program and click on Disable.<\/li>\n<li>Once you\u2019ve disabled every program under the Startup tab of the Task Manager, go back to the System Configuration dialog and click on OK.<\/li>\n<li>Restart your system.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>If the error doesn\u2019t appear after your system starts, then you have to find the program that was causing it earlier. To do that, enable one service and restart your system to check if the error shows up. Keep going through the rest of the services until the problematic app triggers the error again.<\/p>\n<h4>You can follow these steps if going through the apps one by one is too much work:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Open the System Configuration window and switch to the Services tab.<\/li>\n<li>Uncheck the first half of the services you disabled earlier, and then click on the Disable All button. The second half of the startup services will be prevented from loading after your next reboot.<\/li>\n<li>If the error dialog doesn\u2019t show up, then none of the services you unchecked is responsible. Uncheck the rest of the services, click on Disable, and then restart your system.<\/li>\n<li>If the error shows up the first time you restart your system, then one of the services in the first half of the list is what you\u2019re looking for. You don\u2019t have to check other startup items anymore.
