I wanted to share this with you. I have just tested the new search engine WolframAlpha and I must say that few web sites have impressed me more.

It doesn’t seem to be yet another Google replacement. Instead, Wolfram goes way beyond Google when it comes to numbers, maths, chemistry or physics. When before you had to google and read dozens of documents to find that answer, Wolfram gives it to you in a split second. Sin(x)? Not a problem! Structure of H20? Couldn’t be easier!

It can solve an equation, take a derivative, compute properties of a black hole, find isomers of a given formula, compare types of wood, and even give you an exact temperature in Boston in 1998.  Cool, isn’t it!?

Hopefully WolframPower will also keep Google on the edge, so in the end all of us, geeks and otherwise, will benefit.
