If you spend a lot of time on the Internet, particularly on Facebook, Twitter, Digg and other social media, if you are a blogger, and if you subscribe to various news feeds, then Flock is the web browser for you.

Flock is powered by Mozilla corporation, which means a lot to me, as I trust Mozilla and love Firefox. Plus Flock supports Firefox add-ons, which is really great. Flock uses Firefox 3 technology, works on Windows, Mac, and Linux and it speaks 12 languages. It calls itself The Social Web Browser. Why? Simply because it makes social networking easier and more enjoyable than ever before.

Now let’s get a closer look at the features!

Flock has several buttons that let you switch between different sidebars:

  • My World where everything comes together – feeds, friend updates, favorites and photo/videos updates
  • People to connect with friends from your favourite social networks
  • Media where you can quickly find and browse photos and videos from your favourite sites
  • Favourites
  • Feed Reader
  • Photo Uploader
  • Blog Editor that lets you compose blog posts while online or offline, then publish to your favourite blogging platform when ready
  • Webmail that notifies you when you have new messages in your specified email accounts
  • Web Clipboard that lets you collect any link, text or image for later use

With Flock it’s really easy to connect to Twitter and Facebook chat feature has been recently added to version 2.5.

In short, there is a lot Flock has to offer! Check it out! If you are having any trouble, have a look at the Flock User Guide, which is really easy to use and has all you need written in plain English.
