@Tedel Actually I don't disagree with you because you said pretty much what I said but from a different angle. :)
Like I said in my post, Twitter is not trying to beat Google and become THE search engine. Rather it's trying to find it's own niche in search. Personally, I think Twitter is on the right track with it's new indexed search and it certainly has the potential.

Hi there,

I read the post and let me say I do not agree with what you are saying.

First of all, if you take a look at Twitter thoroughly, you will notice most of people talk about useless things... what time they wake up, what time they eat, what they are working in... just if you are lucky.

Those who share "information", which seem to be the ones you follow most, usually share the same links they find on other pages on the Internet, such as PopUrls.com. They don't really discover much.

I doubt a lot if you think Twitter will replace RSS. When you follow a good blog, you just cannot wait for its next Tweet. It may get lost among all the flood of useless tweets I mentioned before.

Last but not least. Will Tweet replace a search engine? No way. Search engines aim for quality. People who use Twitter do not.

Of course, you can disagree with me. =)

I love using the Twitter Search, it's like searching in people's thoughts (in real time). IMO that's filling a huge gap Google didn't manage to address so far.
