		<description>It did click a couple of times on start-up when I switched the computer on I have not got that much running on the start-up, could this be a start of the hard drive wearing out?

have you tried checking your hard drive with Check Disk? There may be a bad sector. 
On the whole hard drives can be noisy, but clicking does sound a bit disturbing.
